The new Vic frame is our ultralight synthesis of aluminum alloy and carbon fiber material characteristics. Proprietary extruded aluminum down tube and top tubes are used up front, with carbon fiber seat tube, chainstays and seatstays, for a lighter weight and perfectly balanced professional road racing frame with outstanding acceleration, smoothness and high-speed handling. The rear stays are extremely light, yet incredibly stiff for powering over the most challenging hills. Compact frame geometry also deflects rear-end shock by transmitting it less directly towards the saddle, with the elongated seat post absorbing additional road vibration with its natural flex or material damping. The hand-built Vic frameset is now available at an introductory price far below comparable European road frames. The Vic frame package includes an FSA integrated headset, FSA carbon fiber seatpost. front derailleur adaptor, and a spare rear derailleur hanger. Complete customized buildkits based on Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo components are also available from Fort Bicycles.
